Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Director to lead our Inpatient Psychiatry team at Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in mental health services and a proven track record of leadership.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join our dynamic team, working within Fir Ward (inpatient) and Bracken House (rehab). You will be responsible for providing daily cover for inpatients on Fir Ward and contribute to the care of patients admitted from out-of-area. Additionally, you will work alongside a non-medical AC on the locked rehabilitation unit at Bracken House, which provides care for 18 beds.

The salary for this role is £93,000 - £106,000 per annum, dependent on experience.

About the Role:
You will be expected to manage junior medical staff, appraise their performance, and provide professional supervision. You will also be responsible for ensuring that junior staff operate within the parameters of the New Deal and Working Time Directive. Furthermore, you will undertake administrative duties associated with patient care, record clinical activity accurately, and participate in service planning.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage junior medical staff and provide professional supervision
- Ensure junior staff adhere to the New Deal and Working Time Directive
- Undertake administrative tasks related to patient care
- Record clinical activity accurately and submit reports to the Information Department
- Participate in service planning and business development
- Maintain GMC registration and abide by professional codes of conduct

Required Skills and Qualifications:
- MB BS or equivalent medical qualification
- Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment
- Approved clinician status or able to achieve within 3 months of appointment
- Excellent knowledge in psychiatry, excellent clinical skills, and ability to communicate effectively in English
