Join Our Team as a Child and Youth Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking an experienced mental health practitioner supervisor to join our team at ABL Health Ltd. As a key member of the staff, you will be responsible for providing high-quality therapeutic interventions to children and young people in need.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with children and young people across early intervention and mental health settings. You will be confident in supporting and intervening with individuals presenting mild to moderate risk behaviors, and adept in building strong therapeutic relationships in a short period.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and deliver comprehensive assessments and formulations of presenting problems using analytical skills and specialist knowledge.
  2. Provide detailed safety plans and support to children and young people at risk of self-harm or suicidal ideation.
  3. Liaise with parents, carers, and other professionals to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  4. Maintain accurate and timely records of interventions and progress.
  5. Support the wider team with risk and clinical support as needed.
  6. Facilitate peer support groups and alternative therapeutic approaches such as group work and play therapy.

Requirements:

  • Experienced mental health practitioner supervisor with a proven track record in working with children and young people.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to work independently and use initiative.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build trust and rapport with clients.
  • Ability to manage own diary effectively and prioritize tasks.

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
