Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Lead Clinician for Mental Health Services to join our team. As a lead clinician, you will provide clinical leadership and expertise for patients on Beech Ward, ensuring the highest standards of care are delivered.

The post holder will have senior medical input for 17 female patients on the ward, working closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide mental health support. They will also be responsible for managing junior medical staff, ensuring they operate within parameters of the New Deal and Working Time Directive.

You will participate in service and business planning activity, attend academic programmes, and maintain professional registration with the General Medical Council and Mental Health Act Section 12(2) approval.

  • To manage, appraise, and give clinical supervision to junior medical staff.
  • To ensure junior medical staff operate within parameters of the New Deal and are Working Time Directive compliant.
  • To undertake administrative duties associated with patient care.
