We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Senior Practitioner to join our Children in Care Specialist CAMHS Service in AWP, based in Bristol. This is a well-established service with a reputation for delivering high-quality care to children and young people with complex needs. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with our Clinical Psychologists, Art Therapist, Psychotherapist, and Assistant Psychologist to provide clinically effective interventions for children, young people, and their families.
Main Duties of the Job- To work collaboratively with children, young people, and their families to promote opportunities for maximum engagement and involvement in formulations or care plans and evaluation of the service they receive.
- To engage in joint work with other specialist CAMHS personnel as agreed with AWP Children in Care Clinical Lead.
- To attend Thinking Allowed team meetings and case discussions and work closely as part of the multi-disciplinary Children in Care CAMHS team.
- To practice within current legislation governing the delivery of services to children and young people, such as that for Looked After Children and the Safeguarding of children as defined in the Children Act (1989, amended 2004) and local guidelines.
- To practice within local safeguarding guidelines, sharing and directly referring on concerns when appropriate and participating in multi-agency safeguarding conferences.
- To comply with the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements of their professional body.
- To comply with any necessary data collection and information sharing across agencies in line with Trust guidelines on confidentiality.
- To be prepared to travel to other sites and clinics, to schools and to the child's home.
- To be computer literate.
