About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our Therapy team at Priory Hospital East Midlands. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in supporting the mental, emotional, physical, and social well-being of our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Occupational Therapists in planning, implementing, and evaluating therapy and care plans.
  • Support patients to engage in self-care, productive, and recreational groups.
  • Update clinical records accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Record and report patients' involvement in activities and any unusual occurrences.
  • Develop and create activity timetables and propose new ideas to enhance patients' experience.
Requirements
  • Experience working with service users with mental health difficulties and/or in similar settings.
  • Enthusiasm and passion for patient care and engagement.
  • Caring, compassionate, and understanding of patient difficulties and distress.
  • Computer literacy and ability to complete care notes and other relevant documents.
