About the Role

Jupiter Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team in a dynamic and rewarding role. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing expert psychiatric care to patients in a rehabilitation recovery service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complex Case Management: You will be responsible for managing complex cases and developing care plans that meet the individual needs of patients.
  • Care Plan and Treatment Formulation: You will work closely with care co-ordinators, commissioners, families, and carers to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
  • Liaison and Collaboration: You will liaise and collaborate with other services and agencies to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Mental Health Act Implementation: You will be responsible for implementing the Mental Health Act and liaising with the Ministry of Justice as required.
  • Multi-Disciplinary Working: You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care delivery.
  • Administrative Duties: You will be responsible for ensuring all National Health Service (NHS) contractual obligations are met.
  • Clinical Governance: You will contribute to clinical governance and be responsible for setting and monitoring standards.
  • Quality Improvement: You will participate in clinical audit and quality improvement activities to ensure continuous improvement.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: You will have excellent spoken and written communication skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Leadership Ability: You will have strong leadership ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • Change Management: You will have the ability to affect change professionally and organisationally.
  • Knowledge of Current Developments: You will have a good understanding of current developments in psychiatry and other aspects of mental health.
  • Previous Experience: You will have previous consultant experience and experience in a management role.
