Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team at Emcor UK. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for providing electrical maintenance and repair services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide electrical maintenance and repair services to our clients, including routine maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
  • Implement electrical maintenance and corrective works on site in accordance with maintenance instructions, company procedures, and industry standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems and equipment to identify potential issues and recommend preventative maintenance.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of electrical systems and equipment, including new technologies and innovations.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless delivery of electrical maintenance services.
  • Provide accurate and timely feedback to clients and management on maintenance activities and outcomes.
  • Assume the role of Competent Person (Electrical) as authorized by the Authorised Person Controller.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of site system failures and their causes and effects.
  • Carry out minor new works installations and testing.
  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of plant and adjacent areas.
  • Undertake defect surveys on electrical plant and systems and provide reports as requested by engineering management.
  • Provide holiday and sickness cover for shift colleagues.
  • Perform other reasonable duties as agreed with Emcor management.

Requirements

  • 18th edition electrical C&G certificate or equivalent.
  • Qualified to C&G 2360.
  • Experience in electrical maintenance and repair, preferably in a facilities management or building services environment.
  • Good understanding of electrical systems and equipment, including new technologies and innovations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Resilient under pressure and able to converse confidently with staff, suppliers, and clients at all levels.
