Role Overview: As a Security Engineer at Locke & McCloud, you will play a crucial role in protecting our organization from security threats. You will lead and implement innovative security measures, working across teams to safeguard data and systems.

About You: With a background in systems engineering or administration, you are passionate about security and ready to transition into a more focused security role. You will collaborate with application security engineers to identify and close gaps in software practices, ensuring security solutions fit seamlessly with existing workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify security gaps and integrate appropriate tools within development processes.
  • Work within agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum) to deliver security solutions.
  • Train teams on core security products and create accessible documentation.
  • Promote security best practices and develop automated monitoring systems.
  • Help establish secure-by-default practices for engineering teams.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or Java.
  • Strong Linux administration skills and knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with security frameworks like OWASP Top 10 and CVSS.
