We are seeking an experienced Engineering and Welding Programme Leader to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in teaching and assessing vocational subjects and excellent leadership and management skills.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Programme Development: Develop and implement the revised curriculum for the Engineering and Welding programme.
  2. Quality Assurance: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the programme, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as necessary.
  3. Staff Management: Line manage trainers and assessors, providing guidance and support to ensure effective delivery of the programme.

Main Duties

  • Co-ordinate designated vocational study programme delivery activities, ensuring a consistent approach across sites and promoting high-quality teaching and learning.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve student engagement and retention.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality assurance processes.
  • Communicate effectively with students, staff, and external partners to promote the programme and build relationships.

Requirements

  • A level of educational attainment or equivalent experience in Engineering and Welding.
  • Proven experience in leadership and staff management in a vocational context.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • An understanding of quality assurance processes and principles.
