Job Description

We're building the future of ecommerce at Whatnot, a remote co-located team operating out of hubs in the US, UK, Ireland, Poland, and Germany. Our mission is to bring together community, shopping, and entertainment, and we're committed to our values.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute buyer acquisition strategies across priority categories in the local market, creating campaigns and events that generate buzz and grow demand.
  • Design and implement social media strategies for categories across multiple channels and platforms, driving engagement and growth.
  • Identify and pursue PR and influencer opportunities in the local market, leveraging relationships to amplify our brand.
  • Build scalable resources and toolkits to help sellers market their channels and grow their audiences on the platform.
  • Measure and iterate on the effectiveness of category marketing initiatives, using data to inform decisions.

As a Category Marketing Manager, you'll be part of a fast-paced startup environment, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive business growth. You'll have the opportunity to own strategy and content across multiple marketing channels, and to make a meaningful impact on our business.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of marketing experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluency in English and French, with a deep understanding of the French market.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to own strategy and content across multiple marketing channels.
  • Creative thinking and an aptitude for content creation and copywriting.
  • Experience tracking KPIs and monitoring success for marketing programs.
  • Scrapyy and flexible, with the ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment with limited guidance.
Nice to Have
  • Experience with graphic design and video editing tools.
  • Passion for creator communities and/or existing Whatnot product categories.
  • Experience buying and selling in online marketplaces.
Compensation

£80,000- £100,000 + benefits + equity

The salary range may be inclusive of several levels that would be applicable to the position.
