Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Duty Officer to join our team at Leeds City Council. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the day-to-day management of the leisure centre, including supervising staff, managing facilities, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to customers.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction, increase participation, and enhance the overall customer experience.
- Manage and maintain accurate records, including attendance, sales, and income records.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve business objectives and improve operational efficiency.
- Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer queries and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of business plans, budgets, and performance targets.
- Participate in training and development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a leisure centre management or customer service role.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work accurately with numbers and interpret management information.
- Knowledge of health and safety policies and procedures.
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality services and exceeding customer expectations.
Desirable Requirements:
- Knowledge of quality assurance systems and their application to a leisure environment.
- Experience of managing staff and leading teams.
- Knowledge of hospitality and customer service principles.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
