Job Overview

Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality mental health services to children, young people, and their families.

Main Responsibilities

As a Senior Mental Health Practitioner, you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting initial assessments and delivering evidence-based interventions to support the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people.
  • Providing psycho-educational advice and practical support to young people and their families, drawing on a range of therapeutic modalities.
  • Contributing to the clinical leadership of the team, providing supervision and guidance to colleagues, and participating in service development and evaluation.
  • Working collaboratively with other professionals to ensure seamless care pathways and effective risk management.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant professional mental health qualification, such as a Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist, or Social Worker.
  • Current registration with the relevant professional body (e.g., NMC, HCPC, BACP).
  • Significant post-qualifying experience in mental health, including experience of working with children, young people, and families.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
