Financial Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Manager to join our team at WellChild. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in driving excellence and integrity in financial management and strategic financial decisions.
Your responsibilities will include budgeting, forecasting, and meticulous reporting, as well as leading on management reporting, cashflow planning, and the delivery of our audit, Annual Report & Accounts.
You will have a detailed knowledge of accounting principles, strong analytical skills, and be able to demonstrate both operational and strategic thinking. A proficiency in accounting and a relevant finance qualification, such as ACA, ACCA, or ACMA, is essential.
We are looking for an excellent communicator, unflappable, and diligent individual who takes pride in their work and enjoys a diverse workload. As part of your main duties, you will be able to:
- Lead on Financial Processes: Utilise expertise to manage financial procedures.
- Undertake Budget Planning: lead the budget process working alongside budget holders management.
- Financial Guidance: Provide advice to the charity.
- Collaboration with CEO and SMT: Work closely with senior management on financial planning.
- Audit Preparedness: Ensure the charity is ready for annual audits including the set up and management of this external relationship.
We offer a competitive salary, 23 days holiday on appointment rising to 27 days plus 8 bank holidays, Stakeholder Pension Scheme, and Employee Assistance Programme. There will also be some travel to meetings and events required that fall outside of normal working hours.

The successful candidate will be required to complete regular safeguarding training and undertake a DBS check relevant to the requirements of the role.
