About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Children's Registered Manager to join our team at KIWI Children's Services. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality care services to children and young people in our residential settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of clinicians and support staff to ensure the highest standards of care and support are delivered to our young residents.
  • Develop and implement effective care plans and risk assessments to meet the diverse needs of our service users.
  • Collaborate with local authorities, families, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless transitions and effective support.
  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and other relevant legislation, maintaining a safe and homely environment for our young residents.
  • Manage budgets and resources effectively, ensuring the efficient delivery of services.
Requirements
  • Hold a recognized social work qualification, such as the QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (Children and Young People).
  • Have a minimum of 2 years' recent experience in a role related to residential care for children, with at least 1 year involving the supervision and management of staff in caregiving positions.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of Children's Home legislation and inspection requirements.
  • Be able to collaborate effectively with local authorities, families, and team members to facilitate supervisions, inductions, and training initiatives.
  • Apply expertise in conducting dynamic risk assessments, developing care plans, and conducting reviews in coordination with various relevant professional entities.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in child protection and safeguarding procedures and protocols.
