Head of Contracts and Commissioning

We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to join our team as Head of Adults Commissioning. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and implement effective performance management arrangements for all contracts and business activities, producing regular reports for the Associate Director or Director as appropriate.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all procurement and contracting activities are carried out in accordance with legislation, health policies and procedures, and principles of good practice, including ethics and probity. They will also ensure that the relationship between activity, cost, and performance is made explicit within all contracting activity.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and implement effective performance management arrangements for all contracts and business activities.
- Ensure that all procurement and contracting activities are carried out in accordance with legislation, health policies and procedures, and principles of good practice.

- Support the Directorates in reviewing the performance of contracted services.
- Educated to Masters degree level or equivalent professional qualification.
- Minimum of 5 years NHS experience at a senior level.
- Experience of contract negotiations and performance management at a senior level.
- Experience of delivering complex statistical reports and messages to a diverse range of people.
