Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Receptionist to provide a professional and dedicated reception service.

The successful candidate will be responsible for answering switchboard calls efficiently, greeting visitors, maintaining telephone extension lists, and ensuring all notice boards are kept tidy.

You will also assist with meeting room bookings, ordering refreshments, and making tea and coffee as required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Answer switchboard calls within a target of 5 rings and announce callers when put through to the relevant extension.
  • Take messages if the call cannot be taken at that time and pass them to the recipient promptly.
  • Greet visitors, log their names and details in the visitor's book, and notify the appropriate staff member.
  • Maintain the Premier House telephone extension list and ensure all staff have an up-to-date copy.
  • Update notice boards with internal announcements and current vacancies.
  • Project a professional image at all times to both internal and external customers.
  • Ensure security processes regarding access to Premier House are adhered to.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent telephone manner and good communication skills.
  • A smart, presentable appearance.
  • The use of your own initiative.
  • Personable and approachable qualities, with the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Extensive reception experience and good switchboard skills.
  • Well-organised with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Good IT skills, including Word, Excel, and Lotus Notes.
