Special Needs Education Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Needs Education Support Worker to support children with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children who have SEND and a strong understanding of the principles of inclusive education. You will need to be patient, empathetic and able to build positive relationships with children and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support to children with SEND
  • Assist with classroom management and small group work
  • Work closely with the class teacher and other professionals to support children with their learning

Requirements:

  • Experience working as a Teaching Assistant or Support Worker
  • Strong knowledge of SEND and inclusive education
  • Ability to work effectively with children who have additional needs
  • Patient and empathetic approach
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must have good spoken English
  • Minimum of 6 months Primary experience
  • Able to provide 2 or more references covering the last 3 years
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)
