Job Description

Role Summary: We are seeking a skilled ICT Teacher to join our team at GSL Education. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and informative ICT lessons to students of varying ages and abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lesson Planning: Create comprehensive lesson plans aligned with the school's curriculum standards, ensuring students are well-prepared for assessments and future academic challenges.
  2. Differentiated Instruction: Implement teaching strategies to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities within the classroom, ensuring each student has the opportunity to excel.
  3. Technology Integration: Utilise innovative and interactive teaching methods, incorporating technology and real-world applications to make computer science relevant and captivating for students.
  4. Assessment and Feedback: Regularly assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth. Collaborate with colleagues to analyse assessment data and refine teaching practices.
  5. Classroom Environment: Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respectful behaviour among students.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field. Teaching certification in Information Technology or Business Studies.
  • Experience: Proven experience teaching IT or Business Studies at the secondary level is desirable but not essential.
  • Skills: Ability to create engaging and informative lesson plans. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organisational and time-management skills. Effective classroom management. Problem-solving and analytical skills. Passion for teaching and inspiring students.
