Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Trading Underwriter to join our Aviva team. As a Trading Underwriter, you will be responsible for servicing brokers, underwriting new business, renewals, and MTAs. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial insurance and the ability to analyze risks and communicate effectively with brokers and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with brokers and customers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Analyze risks and make informed decisions to ensure profitable growth of the book of business.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to achieve business objectives and deliver excellent customer service.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in property & liability and/or fleet underwriting is preferred, but not essential.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to present complex information effectively.
  • Good knowledge of the FCA and other relevant regulations and legislation.
  • Commercial business acumen to create and deliver business cases.
