Education and Wellbeing Assistant

We are seeking an experienced Education and Wellbeing Assistant to work with children who have Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in schools across Sunderland.
About the Role:This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children who require additional support, including those with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), complex learning disabilities, and Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).
- Support children with SEMH needs in schools across Sunderland.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for children.
- Provide emotional support and guidance to children with SEMH needs.
- Develop and implement strategies to promote social and emotional wellbeing in children.
- A degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- An understanding of SEMH needs and strategies for supporting children with these needs.
- Experience working with children with ASC, complex learning disabilities, or EHCPs.
The salary for this role is £24,500 - £31,500 per annum, dependent on experience. We also offer free online safeguarding and Prevent Duty training, as well as access to our DBS Update Service.
