Role Description

This Teaching Assistant position offers an exciting opportunity to join a supportive primary school in Sunderland, working closely with the class teacher to deliver lesson plans and support pupils in reaching their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote inclusion and acceptance among students
  • Deliver targeted catch-up sessions to ensure academic progress
  • Support students individually, responding to their unique needs
  • Collaborate with the class teacher in lesson planning, evaluation, and adjustments as needed
Requirements:
  • Recent and relevant experience in an educational setting
  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills
  • A Level 2 or 3 qualification (CACHE, Childcare, NNEB, etc.) or equivalent childcare experience
  • Ability to work under the guidance of the classroom teacher
