We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our Adult Inpatient Wards team at Atherleigh Park, a state-of-the-art £40 million mental health hospital. As a key member of our inpatient psychology team, you will work closely with qualified Psychologists, Assistant Psychologists, and Trainee Psychologists to provide high-quality patient-centered care.
Main DutiesThis full-time, permanent post will predominantly be based on our Adult Acute wards, where you will work as part of a team of three other qualified Psychologists. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing individual assessment, formulation, and brief intervention, as well as group-based interventions as needed.
- Supporting others through consultation, training, service development, audit, and service evaluation.
- Working alongside the Ward Manager and Nursing Clinical Leads to develop care pathways that are Trauma-Informed and Recovery-Focused.
- Carrying out assessments appropriate for this client group and using the results to inform care planning and intervention.
- Linking up with other services and offering effective signposting to enhance the patient journey.
Greater Manchester Mental Health (GMMH) Foundation Trust employs over 6,400 members of staff, delivering services from more than 160 locations. We are looking for a candidate with:
- Post-graduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology (or its equivalent) as accredited by the BPS.
- Demonstrate models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics, and Neuropsychology, two or more distinct psychological therapies, and lifespan developmental psychology.
- Registration with Health Professions Council as Practising Psychologist.
