About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Atherleigh Park hospital. As an Older Adult Clinical Psychologist, you will work with older people with cognitive and other mental health difficulties in a ward environment, providing specialist psychological assessment, formulation, and intervention.

Main Responsibilities
  • Work with older adults with cognitive impairment and other mental health difficulties in a ward environment
  • Develop and implement psychologically informed care and treatment plans
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes
  • Contribute to the development of clinical pathways and protocols for older adult care
  • Provide consultation and training to other healthcare professionals
Requirements
  • Doctoral level training in clinical psychology
  • HCPC registration as a practising psychologist
  • Postgraduate training and experience in older adult mental health
  • Knowledge of psychological models relevant to older adult care
  • Experience of working with older adults with cognitive impairment and other mental health difficulties
