About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Lead Nurse to join our Therapeutic Apheresis Services team at NHS Blood and Transplant. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality Therapeutic Apheresis services to patients across the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and lead a team of nurses to provide safe and effective Therapeutic Apheresis services.
  • Develop and implement clinical standards and policies to ensure best practice and clinical effectiveness.
  • Provide clinical expertise and guidance to colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Communicate effectively with donors and patients to ensure their needs are met.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
  • Masters degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Leadership and management training or experience.
  • Teaching and assessment qualification.
  • Continuous professional development.
  • Experience of planning, implementing, and evaluating changes in clinical practice.
  • Experience of mentoring and supporting the professional development of others.
  • Understanding of clinical effectiveness and best practice.
