Dementia Support Specialist

PP Associates Ltd is a leading provider of care services in the Lancashire area, committed to promoting dignity, independence, and respect for older people. We are seeking an experienced Dementia Support Specialist to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have experience in providing personal care and support to individuals with dementia, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
About the Role
This is a full-time position that requires the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to residents, including administering prescribed medication, assisting with daily living tasks, and promoting their independence and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and support to residents with dementia
- Assist with daily living tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Administer prescribed medication in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Promote residents' independence and well-being through activities and social events
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care planning
Requirements
- Experience working with individuals with dementia
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Possession of relevant certificates of competence or equivalent
