Elevation Recruitment Group is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our team. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance services to our clients in the chemical manufacturing industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out routine service calls to maintain and service equipment
  • Provide technical support for troubleshooting and reactive maintenance needs
  • Conduct service visits on a preventative and reactive basis as required
  • Undertake service and repair of products and systems to deliver against customers' requirements
  • Coordinate and communicate with customers on all repair activities to maximise uptime/reliability
  • Support the territory in business development and maintenance of existing accounts
  • Liaise with third party vendors about additional support, spares purchasing and equipment storage
  • Keep accurate records and management reports and provide training to customers and colleagues to ensure knowledge transfer and best practices
Requirements:
  • Level 3 Electrical qualification or equivalent with a solid understanding of mechanical systems, electrical circuits, and control systems
  • 18th Edition certified
  • Experience working in a customer-facing field service engineer or technical support role, ideally in a chemical manufacturing environment
  • A positive and responsible attitude towards independent work
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • A logical and analytical approach to trouble-shooting
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, with flexibility for occasional emergency cover at customer sites outside normal working hours, including weekends
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities
  • Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft packages

Please note that due to the nature of the role, you will need to be flexible to attend emergency call-outs to support customers.
