About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Flood Risk Management Specialist to lead our local flood risk management team based in Skipton, North Yorkshire. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in shaping our flood risk management and flood resilience services across the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of experienced professionals in delivering local flood risk management projects and studies
  • Develop and implement effective flood risk management strategies and plans
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and communities to engage and educate on flood risk management
  • Manage and deliver projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on flood risk management to clients and stakeholders
Requirements
  • Chartered status (ICE, CIWEM) or equivalent
  • Proven experience in flood risk management and project leadership
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid UK driving license
Desirable Skills
  • Leadership experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of local flood risk management policy and strategy
  • Experience with Geographical Information Systems (GIS)
  • Risk Assessment and Property Flood Resilience
