About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Flood Risk Management Specialist to lead our local flood risk management team in Skipton, North Yorkshire. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in shaping our flood risk management and flood resilience services across the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the delivery of local flood risk management schemes and studies
  • Develop and implement effective stakeholder engagement strategies
  • Manage and mentor junior staff to ensure successful project delivery
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs and develop tailored solutions
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to minimize flood risk
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in an environmental or physical science related field
  • Chartered status (ICE, CIWEM) or a desire to work towards becoming chartered
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills
  • Experience of working on local flood risk management projects and studies
  • A valid UK driving licence
