We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Centre 404, a local charity providing high-quality support services in North London.

About the Role:

  • To provide person-centred support to service users, promoting their independence, health, and wellbeing.
  • To assist with daily tasks, such as shopping, meals, personal care, and appointments.
  • To facilitate leisure, social, and physical activities, hobbies, and personal interests, focusing on skill development, confidence building, and relationship enhancement.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Support Worker, your primary duties will include:

  • Providing emotional support and companionship to service users.
  • Assisting with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting.
  • Accompanying service users to appointments and activities.
  • Preparing and serving meals, snacks, and drinks.
  • Encouraging participation in leisure activities, such as arts, crafts, sports, and games.
  • Maintaining a safe and clean living environment.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A genuine passion for working with people with learning disabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Basic knowledge of personal care and safety procedures.
  • An understanding of the importance of maintaining confidentiality and adhering to data protection protocols.

Benefits Package:

Centre 404 offers a competitive salary of £25,300.60 per annum, plus 31 days paid leave annually.
