Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: UK-Hertfordshire-Royston, local to Stevenage by car or public transport (SG8 postcode)

Salary: £85 - £100 per day - depending on experience and qualifications

Hours: Full time - 40 hrs per week, Mon - Fri, term time only (8:30am - 16:30pm)

About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our accredited specialist team at an independent Special day school. The successful candidate will provide high-quality support to students with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN) including autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, and associated difficulties.

Key Responsibilities: The ideal candidate will be crucial in supporting students with their learning, development, and progress in all areas of the curriculum. This will involve helping students with complex medical needs and sensory/physical impairments to achieve their educational and personal goals.

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need to be passionate about supporting students with SEN and have a vision to see potential rather than disability. You will also require excellent communication skills, particularly in relation to our students' communication needs. A Level 2 qualification in Maths and English is also essential.
