Premises Officer (SO Grade) Job Description

Job Overview

CPL have partnered with Northern Ireland Civil Service (NICS) to recruit a Premises Officer (SO Grade) on a temporary contract, with possibility of extension. As a key member of the DAERA operational readiness project team, you will play an integral part in supporting the delivery of our services.

About the Role:

This role is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the port facility, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and maintaining high standards of customer service. You will be required to manage pre-planned and ad-hoc maintenance tasks, handle inquiries from staff, contractors, and members of the public, and contribute to user group committees. Your excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment will be essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Health and Safety: Ensure fire precautions are maintained, including regular testing and accident investigations. Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement measures to mitigate them.
  2. Maintenance: Manage maintenance schedules, coordinate with contractors, and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  3. Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to visitors, staff, and contractors. Handle inquiries, resolve issues, and maintain a positive working relationship with all stakeholders.
  4. Management: Oversee staff, contracts, finances, and building control, ensuring seamless operation of the facility.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of one year's experience in a facilities management role gained within the last five years.
  • A full current driving licence enabling the holder to drive vehicles in Northern Ireland.
