We are looking for a dedicated and experienced SEND English Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis for a long-term period. The successful candidate will have a strong background in working with children with Special Educational Needs and will be able to provide high-quality teaching and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. To teach English to students with Special Educational Needs in a SEND school setting.
  2. To develop and implement effective lesson plans to meet the needs of students with varying abilities.
  3. To work closely with the school's special educational needs coordinator (SENCO) to ensure the needs of students are met.
  4. To provide one-to-one support to students with complex needs.
  5. To communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, and carers to ensure the best possible outcomes for students.

Requirements:

  1. QTS Qualification in Education.
  2. Previous experience working as a SEN Teacher.
  3. Experience working on a 1 to 1 basis with Special Educational Needs.
  4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  5. Patience and compassion.
