About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled DBT Practitioner to join the team at South West London & St Georges Mental Health NHS Trust. The successful candidate will work in a dynamic environment providing specialist DBT services to young people in need.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and young people in various community settings, particularly those presenting with complex high-risk emotional dysregulation and self-harm. They should be accustomed to interagency working and have knowledge of Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy and Procedure.

The successful candidate will receive comprehensive training in DBT and be expected to develop specialist skills in teaching, training, and supervision. They will work closely with colleagues to provide advice and consultation about DBT to staff working with the client group across a range of agencies and settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To provide specialist DBT assessment and formulation of children and young people referred to the service.
  • To deliver DBT and adjunctive therapy groups monitoring outcomes and modifying interventions accordingly.
  • To contribute directly and indirectly to a DBT based framework of understanding and care to the benefit of all CYPs in the service.

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £52,000 - £62,000 per annum depending on experience. Benefits include flexible working, career development opportunities, and a range of staff benefits.
