About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Counsellor to join our team at Nuffield Health, where you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of psychological interventions and stepped care treatment in a private care setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and support individuals with common mental health problems in the self-management of their recovery.
  • Undertake patient-centered interviews to identify areas where the person wishes to see change and/or recovery, and make an accurate assessment of risk to self and others.
  • Make decisions on suitability of new referrals, adhering to Nuffield Health referral protocols, and refer clients on to relevant support agencies or back into the business to step-up the person's treatment to high intensity.
  • Ensure the maintenance of standards of practice according to NH and any regulations, and keep up to date on new recommendations/guidelines set by the department of health.
  • Protect client confidentiality at all times, adhering to the information governance guidelines policy.
  • Stay aware of and keep up to date with advances in treatment for common mental health problems.
  • Keep up to date all records in relation to continuing professional development and maintain up to date specialist knowledge of latest theoretical and service delivery models/developments.
