Job Title: Legal Secretary



This role is ideal for individuals with experience in a legal or professional services environment. You will be responsible for managing client-facing tasks and priorities, producing high-quality documents and client communications, and maintaining accurate records.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Client Relationship Management: Manage the production of documents and check returned work for accuracy and formatting. Take and make client-related calls, dealing with and handling message-taking as appropriate.
  • Administrative: Open and close files, supervise general filing requirements, and record keeping. Monitor and track key dates for clients and ensure compliance procedures are up-to-date.
  • Financial: Assist lawyers with billing-related tasks, review and update time allocation and disbursements, and deal with matter-related finance administration.
  • Processing: Manage priorities and workloads to ensure deadlines are met, create and maintain data rooms, and ensure client and matter data is up-to-date within appropriate systems.
  • Customer Service: Consistently update service users on progress, arrange and attend team meetings, and liaise with lawyers, PAs, HLs, and Secretarial Managers to take instruction and liaise on work requirements.


Requirements:




  • Experience in a legal or professional services environment.
  • Aptitude for managing multiple priorities and producing high-quality documents and client communications.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Effective communicator with an excellent customer and client service approach.
  • Proven experience of managing client-facing tasks and priorities.
