About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Practitioner to join our team at Kent County Council. As a Senior Practitioner, you will play a key role in supporting children and families, using your expertise and transferable skills to make a positive impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of social workers, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality services to children and families.
- Conduct thorough assessments and investigations to understand the needs of children and families, and develop effective plans to support them.
- Work closely with other agencies and professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to supporting children and families.
- Provide training and development opportunities to social workers, to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures, to ensure that they are effective and meet the needs of children and families.
Requirements
- Professional registration with Social Work England.
- Post-qualification experience of working with children and families.
- Strong understanding of legislative and policy frameworks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and build relationships with colleagues and other agencies.
What We Offer
- A competitive salary of £43,810 - £49,989 per annum.
- Annual leave entitlement of 29 days (increased to 30 days after 5 years service).
