About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Practitioner to join our team at Kite Ridge School. As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will play a vital role in supporting and overseeing the development of our sensory curriculum and behavioural therapy.

Working closely with the Head Teacher and Deputy Head Teacher, you will ensure that all students access a holistic curriculum and take on the roles of Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead and Advanced Team Teach Tutor following training.

You will have experience of implementing Positive Behaviour Support and wider therapeutic disciplines for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and/or an autistic spectrum disorder. Additionally, you will have line management experience, delivering supervision, appraisal, and performance management.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement the sensory curriculum and behavioural therapy across the setting.
  2. Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to ensure all students access a holistic curriculum.
  3. Take on the roles of Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead and Advanced Team Teach Tutor following training.
  4. Deliver supervision, appraisal, and performance management to staff.

Requirements:

  • Experience of implementing Positive Behaviour Support and wider therapeutic disciplines.
  • Line management experience, delivering supervision, appraisal, and performance management.
  • Ability to work closely with the Senior Leadership Team.
