Reinsurance Associate Job Description

The Reinsurance Associate will be an integral part of a specialist team within a UK insurer, underwriting commercial and personal insurance product lines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support reinsurance operational and accounting processes, including assistance with claims collections and advices, preparation of Management Information, and processing of premiums and claims via system.
  • Manage financial aspects of reinsurance transactions, involving effective communication and collaboration with internal departments and external reinsurers.
  • Accurately record and reconcile reinsurance transactions, including premiums, ceded and assumed reinsurance, and commission calculations.
  • Analyse financial data related to reinsurance, including loss reserves, premium adjustments, and retrocession agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
Requirements:
  • Experience in reinsurance technical processing/accounting.
  • Good communication and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in IT systems.
