Reinsurance Associate Role

The successful candidate will be joining a specialist team within a UK insurer who underwrite commercial and personal insurance product lines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support all reinsurance operational and accounting processes, including assistance with the production of reinsurance claims collections and advices, preparation of Management Information, processing of RI premiums and claims via system.
  • Manage financial aspects of reinsurance transactions, involving effective communication and collaboration with various functions, including internal departments and external reinsurers.
  • Accurately record and reconcile reinsurance transactions, including premiums, ceded and assumed reinsurance, and commission calculations, maintaining detailed records of reinsurance contracts and agreements.
  • Analyse financial data related to reinsurance, including loss reserves, premium adjustments, and retrocession agreements, preparing variance analyses and reports for management review.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.

Requirements

  • Experience within reinsurance technical processing/accounting.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Good analytical and IT skills.

About the Role

This is a permanent role with hybrid working flexibility for City of London & Home. The salary is from £40,000 to £55,000 + benefits & bonus. It's a great opportunity to join a growing and dynamic underwriting environment.
