Reinsurance Technical Account Specialist

Aon is seeking a skilled professional to join our team in London as a Reinsurance Technical Account Specialist. The ideal candidate will have experience in the Finance Industry, preferably within the Insurance/Reinsurance Sector.

The role is crucial in creating a culture of continuous improvement using process excellence and contributing to the broader success of the Broking Sales, Client Services, Claims Advocacy, and Fiduciary Teams.

This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both in our London office and remotely from home.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support on technical accounting related matters to Aon Reinsurance Colleagues, Clients, and Reinsurers.
  • Assist in the production and analysis, monitoring, and reporting of all financial results.
  • Deliver regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Oversight and tracking of ORTP (third-party) Payments, Funding, UCB, Funds Held, Outstanding Cash, Targeted Overdue Proportional Quarterly Treaty Accounts.
  • Monitor Performance of these reports and follow up/escalate where appropriate in a timely manner.
  • Perform any other ad hoc tasks as defined and agreed upon with the Executive Accounts Advocate.
  • Work in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies and procedures.
  • Complete mandatory training and adopt coaching or mentoring for professional development.
  • Demonstrate proficient analytical, numerical, and information gathering skills.

Requirements:

  • Experience in working in a Finance Role, including some technical knowledge of the (re)insurance industry.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft applications, with a focus on high-quality Excel skills.
  • Great analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Keen to adopt coaching and/or mentoring.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including communication across all levels and presentation skills.
  • Ability to create and develop long-lasting relationships.
  • Demonstrate integrity and professionalism.
