About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Art Teacher to join our team at a good secondary school in High Wycombe. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled educator to make a significant impact, working within a supportive and dynamic environment focused on delivering high-quality education and improving student outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Art across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with potential for KS5 teaching)
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of students with varying abilities
- Assess, track, and report on the progress of students in line with school policies
- Contribute to curriculum development and the sharing of best practice within the department
- Foster a positive classroom environment that supports both student learning and well-being
- Participate actively in the school's continuous improvement initiatives
Candidate Profile
We are looking for a qualified teacher with a degree in Art or a related subject. You should have experience teaching at KS3 and KS4 levels, with experience or willingness to teach KS5 seen as advantageous. The ideal candidate will be passionate about Art and committed to raising student achievement in a good school environment.
Essential Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Degree in Art or a related discipline
- Experience teaching Art at KS3 and KS4 levels
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and inspire students
- Commitment to contributing to the school's wider improvement goals

The successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary in line with the MPS/UPS scale, dependent on experience. We estimate the salary range to be between £28,000 - £45,000 per annum, based on the location and industry standards.
