Academic Specialist in English Language

The ideal candidate will be a subject specialist in English Language, responsible for promoting a culture of academic excellence and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key responsibilities include:
Main Objectives
- Teach and learn in designated subject areas, developing and implementing engaging curricula that cater to diverse learning needs.
- Monitor and assess student progress, utilizing data to inform targeted interventions and lesson planning.
- Participate in school-wide appraisal processes, contributing to the development of peer review and self-evaluation.
- Support the school's pastoral system, working closely with colleagues to ensure the well-being and academic progress of students.
- Deploy support staff and resources effectively, promoting collaboration and a culture of mutual respect.
Requirements
- Compliance with the 'School Teachers' Pay and Conditions Document.'
- Engagement in planning that meets the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND and unique gifts and talents.
- Act as a subject specialist, monitoring and assessing policy and teaching strategies while collaborating with colleagues.
