About the Role

We are seeking an experienced procurement advisor to join our team at Platinum Food Partners Limited. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing high-quality meat and poultry products from within the UK and Europe.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procure meat and poultry products from reputable suppliers
  • Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers
  • Manage inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of products
  • Collaborate with the sales team to ensure effective communication and coordination
  • Enter data into the CRM system and share with the sales team
  • Call transport companies to negotiate rates and secure the best transport deals
  • Liaise with accounts and sales team on various matters
Requirements
  • Previous experience working as a buyer/purchaser in an FMCG role or a role that involves negotiation and building relationships
  • Good computer skills, including Google Sheets/Excel & Word
  • Driving Licence
  • Similar industry knowledge – Pet Food sector experience would be a bonus
What We Offer
  • Negotiable salary depending on experience in purchasing
  • Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm
  • Incentive pay to earn a bonus
