Job Title: Graduate Procurement Specialist

Location: Barrow (Cumbria)

Job Overview: We are seeking a talented and ambitious Graduate Procurement Specialist to join our dynamic Indirect Procurement Services (IPS) team. As a Graduate Procurement Specialist, you will play a key role in driving our global procurement strategies forward and shaping the future of our diverse and expansive operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Engage with stakeholders across all business units to develop and deliver our global procurement strategies.
  2. Support negotiations on existing and new contracts to ensure the best cost/service solution to the business.
  3. Manage suppliers to ensure a professional and effective business relationship with necessary metrics in place.
  4. Perform elements of operational procurement such as requisition and invoice approval.
  5. Be involved at all stages of project lifecycles, starting with stakeholder and demand management, sourcing and tendering, and contract negotiation.

Requirements: As a minimum requirement, you'll need to have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, a 2.2 in your Bachelor's or Master's degree in Construction/Quantity Surveying qualification or similar.
