About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Graduate to join our dynamic Indirect Procurement Services (IPS) team at BAE Systems (New). As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in driving our global procurement strategies forward and shaping the future of our diverse and expansive operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Deliver Global Procurement Strategies: Engage with stakeholders across all business units to develop and deliver our global procurement strategies, ensuring alignment with business objectives and goals.
- Negotiate Contracts: Support negotiations on existing and new contracts to ensure the best cost/service solution to the business, while striving for World Class solutions.
- Manage Suppliers: Manage suppliers to ensure a professional and effective business relationship, with necessary metrics in place.
- Perform Operational Procurement: Perform elements of operational procurement, including requisition and invoice approval.
- Project Lifecycles: Be involved at all stages of project lifecycles, starting with stakeholder and demand management, sourcing and tendering, and contract negotiation.
Requirements:
As a minimum requirement, you'll need to have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, a 2.2 in your Bachelor's or Master's degree in Construction/Quantity Surveying qualification or similar.
