The Rising Sun in Fawkham, a renowned dining establishment, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced chef to lead our culinary team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for driving the development of our menu, ensuring exceptional food quality, and maintaining a safe and clean kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook food to the highest standards, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish.

• Manage kitchen budgets, inventory, and waste reduction, optimizing efficiency and minimizing costs.

• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, creating innovative recipes and menus that showcase our culinary expertise.

• Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure food production meets our high standards.

• Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to strict hygiene and food safety protocols.

• Collaborate with our management team to drive business growth and improve customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in a premium quality restaurant or pub environment.

• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train a team.

• Excellent culinary skills, with a passion for innovation and creativity.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Competitive hourly rate of £16.

• 40-45 hours per week.
