We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cover Supervisor to join our team at a Secondary School in Torquay. As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for actively supervising students, providing clear instructions, and responding to queries. You will also be expected to communicate effectively with students, manage behavior, and work in conjunction with other staff members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Active supervision of students, providing clear instructions and responding to queries
  • Communicating effectively with students to keep them engaged in cover lessons
  • Managing behavior in line with school policies, promoting positive behavior
  • Working in conjunction with other staff members to get the best out of students
  • Reporting back to teachers as and when required
Requirements

We are looking for someone who is flexible, willing to adapt to various classes, and confident in teaching across KS3 and KS4. While teaching qualifications are not essential, we do ideally need someone with vast amounts of experience working in schools. A degree in a specific subject, such as Maths, would be beneficial.
