About the Role

Vision for Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our team of education professionals working in secondary schools across Torquay.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in supporting the education of students in the absence of the teacher, delivering pre-set work for a variety of subjects to ensure a consistent continuation of education.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and young people, possess strong classroom and behaviour management skills, and be a good communicator with both colleagues and students.

We are looking for someone who is flexible, adaptable, and able to use their initiative to engage students in their learning.

Vision for Education works in partnership with secondary schools in the Torquay area, providing a supportive and collaborative environment for our staff.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be part of a passionate team, working alongside excellent practitioners who put children at the heart of everything they do.

Requirements
  • Hold a degree qualification
  • Have experience working with young people in some capacity
  • Have a passion for working with children and young people
  • Have strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Be a good communicator, with both colleagues and young people
  • Be confident and have a positive approach that engages students in their learning
  • Have a flexible approach to work
