About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cover Supervisor to join our team at a brilliant secondary special school. The successful candidate will provide essential support to students with social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH).

The role involves leading classes with pre-planned cover when the teacher is absent and providing additional TA support when required. The school provides high-quality education and support for students aged 11-16 with a range of additional needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead classes with pre-planned cover when the teacher is absent
  • Provide additional TA support when required
  • Support students with SEMH needs
  • Work collaboratively with the teaching team to ensure a smooth learning environment
Requirements
  • Secondary school-based experience is preferred
  • SEMH experience is essential
  • Full-time availability (Monday - Friday)
  • Patience, resilience, enthusiasm, and flexibility
  • Confident in leading classes and managing challenging behaviour
  • Able to drive and have access to your own car
