Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our dedicated team of healthcare professionals within Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate individual to work with children, families, and carers, providing high-quality healthcare services and supporting the health, development, and emotional wellbeing of Looked After Children.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will work closely with the Looked After Children's (LAC) Nursing Team, coordinating the completion and implementation of statutory health assessments and care plans for Looked After Children. This will involve working in partnership with multi-disciplinary teams, including School Nursing, Health Visiting, Community Paediatricians, and other LAC Nurses, to ensure the best possible health and social outcomes for the child/young person in the care of the Local Authority or on the Edge of Care.

Key Skills and Qualities

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, families, and carers from diverse backgrounds. A strong understanding of the needs of Looked After Children and the ability to advocate on their behalf is essential. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable, but not essential.
